We are looking for a skilled Backend Python Developer to help build and maintain backend services for a new product.

We're seeking an engineer who can think architecturally, propose practical solutions, deliver production-ready features quickly, and ensure their long-term maintainability.

You will be responsible for:

• Develop backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Work with PostgreSQL, including database design, migrations, and query optimization
• Integrate with third-party services and external APIs
• Implement background jobs, task queues, and retry mechanisms
• Utilize Redis for caching and performance optimization
• Develop backend functionality for the admin panel
• Configure logging, error handling, and monitoring
• Participate in architectural design and technical decision-making
• Maintain and improve the product after launch, including bug fixes, performance optimization, and feature enhancements

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of experience in backend development with Python
• Strong experience with FastAPI (or a similar Python web framework)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database schema design
• Experience with SQLAlchemy/SQLModel and Alembic
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Understanding of task queues, background processing, and caching technologies (Redis, Celery/Dramatiq/RQ)
• Experience with Docker and Git
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
• Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a proactive approach to technical decision-making

Nice to have:

• Experience with asynchronous Python (asyncio)
• Experience with APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Experience with server-to-server (S2S) integrations
• Experience implementing event analytics and tracking
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
